This web site was built for the campaign against East Sussex Council's
proposal to build an incinerator near the village of Mountfield.
The campaign started in 1999 and victory was finally achieved in late 2004
when the Council voted to drop Mountfield from the Waste Local Plan.
The web site has been left here as a memorial to the campaign, which involved
numerous people working extremely hard to defeat a proposal which should never
have been made in the first place. It may be of some historic interest,
and perhaps useful to you if you are fighting a similar campaign (advice
to other campaigns).
